Batalion String Instruments Oy is the company of Mayim Alpert, a luthier with 20 years of experience.
Since 2017 Mayim has focused on rehairing and repairing bows for violin-family instruments, at Toonika in Helsinki. He is also experienced in violin restoration and fretted string instrument repair and construction.
In Helsinki in June 2021 opens ALPERT & KALLINEN – a specialty workshop for violins, violas, cellos and bows – a collaboration with violin maker Lauri Kallinen.
